Founded in 1976, Cathedral Kitchen is Camden's largest emergency provider of food serving more than 100,000 nutritious meals per year to the impoverished residents of Camden, but their impact on the community does not stop there.
The organization is more than a provider of emergency food, they provide families with groceries through their Marketstand every Wednesday, personal care products every Monday and personal health screenings in partnership with Project H.O.P.E.
Monroe & Kent Home was recently approached to provide a donation to support Cathedral Kitchen's annual Harvest for Hunger Gala.
With COVID-19 still very much a hinderance, the gala was held virtually.
The team at Monroe & Kent Home offered a $500 gift card to be spent in store or online, alongside a complimentary one hour interior design consultation.
As a collective result of everyone who donated items to be auctioned, over $140,000 was raised to help fund their efforts in 2021.
