The team at Monroe & Kent Home recently participated in a coat drive organized by Marlton Square, the landlord of our Marlton, New Jersey furniture showroom.
Alongside fellow tenants GAP and Carlo's Bakery (of Cake Boss fame), the coat drive was organized to benefit the Philadelphia chapter of Cradles to Crayons.
Founded in Boston in 2002 by Lynn Margherio, Cradles to Crayons supports families with children from birth through age 12 with the everyday essentials that they need to thrive at home, at school and at play.
The event was a success with the local community donating two dump bins full of new and gently used coats that will be distributed to families in need.
To supplement community donations, Monroe & Kent Home made a cash donation of $2,500 to the charity which will enable them to purchase approximately 625 coats.
